Ruby McO, this one's for you

Moving into a new apartment is both the best and the worst. There are healthy doses of both the spring of hope and winter of dispair. I love putting everything into place, but I tend to move them around 3 times or so and then they wind up where I put them to begin with.

The move in this time around has been pretty smooth-- mainly because Harry lets me put things where I want them, move them 3 times, and then put them back in their original spot.

Anyhoo, my darling dear cousin of love gave me these pillows for this apartment as a gift many months ago, and I knew the second I walked into the apartment where they would go.

Becca, thank you for these dear, delicious, orangey paisley flowery pillows. And thank you for being the kind of person who would get me dear delicious orangey paisley flowery pillows. They are the first thing I unpacked and they make our couch look cozy, and they make me think of you. Not because you are orangey or paisley, though.

This is a most choice honeymoon moment. Harry and I got to go to Disneyland when we visited Irvine. On the way we were listening to Michael Jackson (obviously).

As you can see, I married a premium dancer.

Budget Curmudgeons

Wow. We just figured out our budget for the upcoming school year and AIEEEEE!!-- stuff is expensive. I mean, we had to cut serious necessities. I mean SERIOUS NECESSITIES.

For example, he nixed my Yoga sessions with the Olsen twins. And I nixed all 8 of his Paul Simon Music Composition seminars. And we both weepily deleted the $2,000.00/ month upkeep of our Reading Draft White Birch Beer stash. And we don't know how we'll live without all those private investigators and bodyguards who kept away all of Harry's female stalkers-- you would not BELIEVE the hourly rates. Boy this year will be tight.

Mr. Obama, where have the good times gone!??!

I suppose our private jet is the only thing that will see us through.

Well, regardless of the fact that President Obama and Hillary Clinton decided to stop by our reception and redistribute our wedding cake to the needy, we had quite the delicious big day.
