Woke up at 9:30 am. (THIS. NEVER. HAPPENS.)
Pulled on vaguely public-appropriate pajamas and went to the store with Harry. The only things we bought were
Proceeded by watching missed episodes of "The Office" and "So You Think You Can Dance" in said pajamas eating numberless bowls of said cereal.
Proceeded by brief cleaning/budgeting/exercising, followed up with

A Saturday like this is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up.

OH MAN did you just make me miss our first two years of marriage.
Holy crap.
Cherish these days--days without wee ones giving you good morning pokes in your eyes and good morning taps on your forehead and good morning shrieks from their crib. All at the painful hour of 6 am. Wee ones are no respecters of Saturdays. Nor of anything else for that matter.
Gah.
I thought I was perfectly happy in my Mommydom until I read this post and remembered my days of relaxation and freedom and seeing movies in the theaters and strolling while holding hands in the grocery store and drinking milkshakes and eating cereal in bed, with only the sound of our own crunching and the drunk guy snoring outside our basement apartment window, sleeping off his last inebriation before heading into the rehab facility located next door to our apartment building.
Those were the days, man.
Blast you, Sarah Eaton Reynolds. You really did a number on me just now. I want my newlywedness back.
Agreed with Annie! Seriously, I love that you are now having these fun newlywed days! You so deserve it! What a GREAT Saturday! All the good stuff wrapped into one day. Love it.
I love Honey Graham Oh's with the passion of a thousand burning suns.
Ok - maybe not a thousand, but at least a few dozen burning suns.
Oh my gosh I am so jealous. Chipotle? Sleeping in and being selfish alone? I long for a day like that. I thought this Saturday could be that way, but then I remembered all of the things we have to do. So it goes with life, I suppose. But please enjoy a burrito for me :)
Mac and I have already begun training our baby in the womb to be a RESPECTOR OF SATURDAYS. I will be highly disappointed if this doesn't work out.
btw - how was 2012? Mac has a desire to see it, but I'm not sold. My friend who works at Sony did a lot of the special effects though!
Julie- special effects were INCREDIBLE. Probably the best I've ever seen. The movie was a bit on the long side for me, lots of explosions/destruction for 2.75 hours is a lot for me. But it was great.
Yay I'm so glad you found us! I miss you guys! And it's ok- we can be co-stalkers :) haha!
Sarbear! I love reading what you have to say. Wow, that Saturday pretty much sums up what I have been needing lately. How fun though. I sure do you miss you girl. And I am glad to see that newlywedness is treating well. Love you tons!
